Care Establishments

STOP PRESS!

I have been given a fantastic opportunity to manage Trent House Residential Care Home.  As you will see from the information below we have built up a good relationship with the home over the last 3 years.

This is the job that I have trained to do and I am really proud of what the whole team has achieved since November 1st 2010.

Together we have made many improvements and the general atmosphere is a real pleasure to live and work in.

Trent House is a warm, friendly home where everyone is welcomed.  We pride ourselves in offering a home from home atmosphere alongside fun, laughter and good home cooked food.

Activities have always been a very important part of my care career - at Trent House you can expect to see planned activities such as hand massage, sing alongs, arts and crafts as well as spur of the moment activities.... this week we started cutting leaves out of paper and thinking about writing our wishes on each leaf.  We have created an internal tree in the lounge area, painted and created by residents and staff alike! This is known as our wishing tree, however, it changes like the weather!  In February it turned into a Valentines tree and in April the Easter Tree!  The main thing is, if we can make the wishes come true for our residents, staff and families then that will be our Trent House wish!

If you are interested in day care - respite - or long term care then Trent House is the place to be. Please call the home on 01983 290596 and ask for an information pack, or an appointment to come and view the home.  Presently we have 1 double room and 1 single room available for respite and long term care. We also have limited spaces available for day care.  Daycare is available for upto 8 hours per day, many people come to join in with activities, have a bath and enjoy lunch with us. Why not try it one day and see if the arrangement suits you?  No time restrictions - we charge for each hour you are with us.

I would like to thank my Community Spirited team for pulling together to allow me this opportunity.

Best Wishes to you all

Jane

We pride ourselves in being able to work alongside care establishments - islandwide - to help deliver a stimulating and enjoyable activity package. Here is a shining example of how, together we can make a real difference to the lives of residents at Trent House Residential Care Home - in Cowes.

I am extremely pleased with the relationship we have established with both the management and the staff.

We know the importance of doing activities within homely environments, especially with the National Minimum Standards in place and the regulations set by CQC. We are members of NAPA (which is the National Association for Providers of Activities for older people).  These keep us up to date on best practice. Here are a selection of photographs taken after a hand massage and companionship session at Trent House.

We are very proud to offer a special price on group activities. Sessions at care establishments generally last for two hours.  The cost of this is £40.00.  The portfolio of the activities your clients have participated in will remain at your home with all the photographic evidence.  The most popular activity at the moment is our pampering sessions - we gently massage creams into the hands of your clients whilst getting to know them on a one-to-one basis. Most clients participate in this activity, from experience some people lose confidence and if they are asked to do i.e. arts and crafts they panic - this activity is pleasurable and they  know all they have to do is relax and enjoy it!

When we deliver other activities we prefer to work in small groups to give everyone adequate support. We do not pressurise anyone, if any of your clients do not want to join in then that is fine, we hope in time that they gain the confidence they need to participate. We will always consider what each client would like to do. We are fully insured and police checked.

We have extended our services to homes that provide care for adults with learning/physical disabilities.

We look forward to hearing from you. Please call if you have any questions or would like a special introductory offer  session.

(Please note that all the residents have given their permission for me to use their photographs on my website - they think it's great - fame at last!).
