We are more than just a business. LOOK at all the other things we do to bring people together
We are always thinking about ideas of what we can do to bring people together and importantly raise money for good causes.
We are currently knitting squares to make up for blankets for people in poor countries. This will help them to keep warm. Thank you to those who have already contributed.....you know who you are!
If you have any comments or ideas yourself then please contact us. We have an 'informal' weight loss support group - We all know what we should be doing to lose weight! Sometimes we just need a little help (me included) and an incentive. Together we can do it. Each time we meet we put £2 in the charity pot. We meet up every fortnight, same time and venue and treat this as a social event aiming to have a laugh (and we really do laugh!) and raise cash for good causes. Everyone is welcome to join in. We need more people! - Even if you don't want to be weighed - (or even if you don't need to lose weight!) come and let us support you and you can help us to support the following local charity. So far to date we have raised over £172 and lost quite a bit of weight too! (On 15th Feb we lost a total of 18 pound!) The last meeting wasn't quite as successful as that - but hey at least we are keeping track of our weight!
As a group we have all agreed we would like to raise money for The Young Carers Project (IOW) this will go some way to helping children/young adults who care for their relatives on a daily basis. Hopefully we can make a difference to these special people. The venue isThe Sea/Scout Hut, Adelaide Grove, East Cowes - at 7.00 pm (normally lasting one - two hours) and then every fortnight - lets have some fun together and raise money for young carers on the island.
We would like to thank Virginia Evans - local holistic therapist and personal trainer for kick starting the new year with some sound advice. For a personal consultation and/or the many services she offers please contact her direct on 01983 296984 or 07921 820911 (she's good!)
We are there for eachother to give encouragement and support.
Make it your bit of 'me' time to chill out, have a laugh and share your experiences. (Maybe you have been on one of those many bazaar diets).
It is not a place where you will feel intimidated. We are all trying to lead a healthier life and to make a difference to other people too.
We have recently launched our first newsletter which has everything we offer and any future events - if you use our home care services you will automatically receive one. If not please call the office and we will send one out to you.
WE ARE HERE WHENEVER YOU WANT OR NEED US!
