We offer  a variety of quality, unique and sensitive services to meet your needs regardless of age!

Here at Community Spirited we offer a valuable service delivered in your own home as well as group sessions in the community.

We encourage various activities (please see the list below).  We also encourage local businesses to come in and give us a free taster of what their business has to offer - we will always try to get some interesting ones involved; how about:-chocolate tasting, health and beauty, gardening etc, etc........ Of course you can just come for a chat, cuppa and biscuits and socialise with our staff, the volunteers and other people.

We do not pressurize, it is not in our nature!!!

We offer the opportunity to participate in activities and our aim is to motivate you enough to try them. Amongst our volunteers you may see  adults with learning disabilities, we encourage  people with a caring nature to come and help us. We know from experience how these lovely people 'shine' when they are encouraged and feel valued.

We will also arrange outings to places of interest if there is enough demand.  (charges will be made for this).

We want to involve the whole community, together we can all make a difference.

AT HOME - We offer a traditional and quality home help service.   We will carry out little jobs that you may be struggling with, general housework to spring cleans, shopping, outings, letter writing and general pet care i.e. walking the dog!   Don't forget this service is open to people of all ages and abilities - why not let us take some pressure off you!

We will gladly visit the graves of your loved ones, to tidy around and put fresh flowers on if that is your wish.

If you have additional requirements around the home then please get in touch and we will endeavour to fulfil your requests.

We have 'Handy People' on board - they have been chosen for their skills, personality and commitment to do a great job for a reasonable price.

The handy person service will be quoted seperately for each job we take on.  Why not make a list of all those jobs that need doing and give us a call! Any jobs considered - if we can't do them we will let you know, we may be able to recommend another company for you to try.

Please call the office and we will send one of our team out to you for a no obligation quotation.

Activitiy sessions - we enjoy spending quality time with our clients in their own homes. We can do any of the activities listed below as well as anything you wish to do.

Here are some examples:-

Gentle fun movement to music, Art and craft work including, card making, sketching, colouring, painting, knitting, crocheting as well as cross stitch and embroidery.

Our pampering sessions are popular at this present time. Imagine your feet bubbling away in a warm footspa, helping to ease away any tensions you may have.  Sit back and let us  massage your special creams into your hands, legs and feet.  We will comb or brush your hair - and give you a very gentle head massage to further relax you.  We will offer to make you a drink and leave you with a special treat with our compliments.

**Fantastic gift idea - buy a stylish gift voucher with this activity in mind!** (Ideal present for someone who has everything!)

We can also do jigsaw puzzles, card/board games including draughts etc (are you up for a challenge!!!). Reminiscence sessions usually come into every activity we do and are very interesting for all of us.

We also offer story book/bible reading .......- There maybe other suggestions from yourself as time goes by.

We also offer a companions service, where we will join you in your own home.   A member of our team will keep you company and become a valuable contact incase you need any other assistance in your own home in the future. Our sitting service is similar to above, however, it is normally arranged through your main carers to give them some respite whilst they take time out of their usual caring role. This is an essential service to anyone who is caring for someone full time.

It is not unusual to be asked to 'pop in' and assist with lunch and to make sure a relative is ok whilst the main carer's go away for a well earned break.  During lets say a 2 week break, we may visit every other day and make a phone call on the days we do not go, this gives the family great peace of mind and shows that they care enough for their loved one.

We now have a puppy called Skye who is currently being trained to assist with the companionship sessions - she is a Springer Spaniel - she is very sweet!  If you have any additional requirements please do not hesitate to ask - we are here for you.

We hope you will soon become a member of our extended Community Spirited family!!!

P.S. Don't forget to view page 6 - the noticeboard - you'll be amazed how we bring people of all ages together! If you have any ideas or want to get involved - get in touch!
