The services we offer
Here at Community Spirited we offer a valuable service delivered in your own home.
We offer a traditional and quality home help service. We will carry out little jobs that you may be struggling with, general housework to spring cleans, letter writing and general pet care i.e. walking the dog! Don't forget this service is open to people of all ages and abilities - why not let us take some pressure off you! We also deliver a:
Shopping service
Washing & Ironing service
Cooking (often sharing the preparation and the meal with you if you prefer to eat with company)
Outings (to appointments or for pleasure)
Companionship/Activity sessions - staying in and encouraging hobbies such as card games, arts & crafts or looking at photographs and chatting about your life.
(This service is beneficial if main carer requires a break and we do know hard it is for you too!)
Tending to graves - We will gladly visit the graves of your loved ones, to tidy around and put fresh flowers on if that is your wish.
We have 2 'Handy Men' on board - they have been chosen for their skills, personality and commitment to do a great job for a reasonable price - one is a qualified electrician.
The handy man service will be quoted seperately for each job we take on. Why not make a list of all those jobs that need doing and give us a call! Any jobs considered - if we can't do them we will let you know, we may be able to recommend another company for you to try.
Please call the office and we will send one of them out to you for a no obligation quotation.
Beauty therapies - this is a great way to indulge and treat yourself - everyone has the right to feel special and it's a great way to help you relax. I would especially recommend a manicure or a pedicure - basic or luxury or a gentle massage.
The list is endless - I have tried many of the treatments (it would be rude not to!) so I know our beauty therapist is very good.
**Fantastic gift idea - why not buy a stylish gift voucher with this activity in mind! Or... perhaps take a loved one on an outing for an hour or two**
(Ideal present for someone who has everything!)
This is also a great way to introduce a loved one to us - perhaps you know someone who is struggling and in desperate need of help. Perhaps they are so independent the thought of getting help in scares them? We can go in to do a pampering session, often when they see how friendly and approachable we are with them they use us for other things such as a regular clean, or outing.....we know the gift vouchers work, we still have people who found us this way and have never looked back!
Regular daily, weekly support or every now and again
It's not unusual to be asked to 'pop in' and assist with lunch and to make sure a relative is ok whilst the main carer's go away for a well earned break. Here is an example during a 2 week break, we may visit a client every other day and make a phone call on the days we do not go, this gives the family great peace of mind so they can enjoy their well earned holiday.
**Please note we are not a care agency and we do not provide any personal care or assist with medication**
