Welcome to our caring business with a heart!

Hello and a warm welcome to you!  I would like to introduce this very caring business to you.  If you can, please take the time to read all of the website - it covers so much! (If you don't have the time right now please see page 12 where you can view a short but sweet account of Community Spirited!)

We offer our services to the whole island community who need help to remain self-sufficient and independent in their own home.

At Community Spirited we have people who are trained to management level and those who have gained their NVQ in Health and Social Care. We have people who are trained in massage and manicures etc.  Above all we are caring people who aim to do the very best for each and everyone of our clients.

As the owner/manager of this business I am proud to say that I achieved an 'Outstanding achievement award' from the Isle Of Wight College for my commitment to achieving the Registered Managers Award whilst working as a private carer and looking after my family. We are all dedicated to making people's lives more fulfilling.

We aim to fill a void in their life by giving them an opportunity to go on outings and to enjoy quality time inside and outside of their home, with the whole session focused on them.

It is important to continue using the skills and abilities which have been achieved throughout life for as long as possible. New skills will build up confidence and bring personal meaning and significance into each and every persons life.

Life should be about moving forwards, even if it means doing things differently.  If a client is left alone following bereavement we can help them to learn new skills to live more independently.  We have helped women to do basic DIY jobs and men to cook basic meals.  People sometimes do not realize the impact of losing a loved one - here at Community Spirited we do and we are here to help all of you.

Once you let Community Spirited into your life, we can guarantee we will do the best for you, bend over backwards to help you make the best out of your life.  We know what it must be like to struggle with jobs which were once easy - we understand and we are here to help.

Many of our clients find out about us from their family. When families are based on the mainland they naturally worry about their relatives, especially if they live alone on the island - Community Spirited will gladly take on the responsibility of remaining in contact with them, this allows us to give them reassuring feedback on a regular basis, which in turn will give them peace of mind.

We have cared for people where their family live on the mainland, their family have offered to give a reference at anytime to let you know what we did for them. Here is one special feature of our business; we offer an emotional support line, our clients can call a mobile number should they feel anxious or in need of someone to talk to, this is available around the clock.

Please use the contact details on page 10 for any enquiries. Please feel free to leave any comments on the guestbook page.

Thank you!

Jane Goddard - Owner/Manager of

Community Spirited.
